Title: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: brompton rail on April 28, 2010, 16:03:01 At last the National Rail website has listed all the Rover and Ranger tickets, including the All Line Rovers (previously they said these are only used by enthusiasts and they know what they cost etc!).
Go to Nation Rail > Tickets > Special Offers and choose your favourite TOC. The list will start with 14 Day All Line and details validity, prices, railcard discounts and even a list of ALL the stations it is valid to! I haven't checked to see if any are missing as it is rather a long list. ;D Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: Mookiemoo on April 28, 2010, 16:05:23 Arriva is missing the blaneau ffestiniog round robin however that is a weird one since in the ticket machine computer things its not listed as a rover but as a normal ticket to BFF
Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: Mookiemoo on April 28, 2010, 16:10:23 And what is the point of this one!
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/promotions/pr08598b64a441b7a3b7af129f6249a0/details.html They are all stations where the services are mostly DOO and therefore first class 99% of the time is effectively declassified. When the RPI's do get on they just turf people out Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: brompton rail on April 28, 2010, 16:26:05 Is that just a one direction season or do you came back standard? Wierd

I've got an e-mail reply from Chris Scoggins, NRE CEO, dated Feb 16th that told me they were aware that the fare information was missing from the 'Rovers and Rangers' pages and they hoped to have it included by the end of Feb. So only 2 months out! Looks like they've also finaly sorted the problem of adverts covering up content. Oh, and why are the Freedom of Devon and Cornwall products listed under Arriva Trains Wales' special offers? Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 28, 2010, 17:39:15 Deutsche Bahn, launching a blitzkrieg, possibly? ;) :D ;D
Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: JayMac on April 28, 2010, 17:53:12 This FGW area map looks a bit wrong. Not aware of any FGW services into the East Midlands. The 'finger' should be pointing to the left into Hereford/Worcs methinks.

You really wonder if there isn't a better way of doing it, such as having people click on a map one and give them a list of rovers that cover that area and nearby. Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: JayMac on April 28, 2010, 19:19:18 Same goes for ......South West, listed under 'F'.
And a day ranger for Cornwall is listed under 'R' as the product is called 'Ride Cornwall' ::) Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: 6 OF 2 redundant adjunct of unimatrix 01 on April 28, 2010, 20:58:39 sorry to kill this abit but the rovers and rangers have always been on the site, even if they were not so easy to find
however this is fun ... mini quiz spot the mistake http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/promotions/pr3b78700a040004011c93f7fece3a1d/details.html Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: JayMac on April 28, 2010, 21:46:31 Well as mentioned earlier.....Arriva Trains Wales in Devon and Cornwall? I think not.
And the list of Railcards is next to a heading saying 'No Discount' Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: matt473 on April 28, 2010, 21:55:33 Well as mentioned earlier.....Arriva Trains Wales in Devon and Cornwall? I think not. And the list of Railcards is next to a heading saying 'No Discount' Well I have seen ATW units running around the FGW network along with the odd driver in Arriva uniform driving trains at Temple Meads so why not :P Title: Re: Rover Ticket details now on National Rail Post by: Brucey on April 29, 2010, 09:40:17 The Arriva problem crops up a lot.
Apparently Penalty Fares don't apply to journeys on ATW at Weston-super-Mare :D http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/wsm/details.html This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
