Title: Easy Sleeper booking Post by: Cornish Traveller on April 23, 2010, 00:36:45 ;D :o Can you guess where I have made the easiest Sleeper booking in my life today (for July) ?
Paddington perhaps as they must book lots of them or may be Penzance which is an obvious port of call ! St Erth as they must have lots of time to help in quieter periods ? No, and not anywhere that would have regular Scottish Sleeper bookings either. The whole process took about 3 minutes, they even let me choose which berth and Coach I wanted to reserve............. The winner is London Liverpool Street ticket office (operated by National Express East Anglia) !!! 8) I had allowed 45 minutes for the transaction and wondered if I would even get what I required today depending on the booking office clerk`s experience, based on fruitless attempts over previous years by different methods ! Even checked with the person who sold it to me several times as I thought the dates were dodgy but they assured me that they were correct. Alas, they weren't. Thanks to a no show at Truro, I got a night's sleep.
Much easier to buy online now though. There certainly seem to be sufficient ticket office staff to keep waiting times reasonable, unlike at Paddington.
