Title: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: grahame on April 18, 2010, 21:24:08 Jo's Cycle Rack has encouraged me to post pictures from this week - 7 different locations. Nothing to do with trains, save that I looked at using public transport for a whole load of my travel, but in the end was only on and off a public vehicle five times, and they accounted for a tiny proportion of my travel time.

There are some similarities Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 19, 2010, 00:04:19 4. Semington. (A very long shot - on the Kennet & Avon Canal)? ::)
6. Melksham ... ??? Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 19, 2010, 00:26:03 7. Bath?
(By the way, everyone: I know where grahame has been for most of the past week - and I'm not finding this any easier, despite any suggestions that I must have 'inside information'! :o ) C. ;D Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: JayMac on April 19, 2010, 01:17:29 7. Trowbridge Park
Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 19, 2010, 01:21:41 Good shout, bignosemac: I wasn't at all convinced by my own suggestion! :-[
Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: JayMac on April 19, 2010, 02:00:18 1. 'Departures' Dublin (Airport)

Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 19, 2010, 02:10:59 ... and, after dredging through my memories of narrowboat holidays on the K&A, I don't think 4 is Semington, after all. :-X

Pic one may not be in FGW territory but you could argue it is 'First Group' territory. (But then, where isn't these days?!) ;D http://www.firstgroup.com/corporate/our_company/aircoach.php Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? Post by: grahame on April 19, 2010, 03:55:11 Correctly identified - no. 1 is Dublin, no. 6 is Melksham and no. 7 is Trowbridge
Correctly unidentified - no. 4 is not Semington nor elsewhere on the K&A. (nor is no. 5, which you probably meant) 1. 'Departures' Dublin (Airport) I won't 'guess' any more........ the information is out there........ Indeed - most of it is; this one can be done by research for the most part. I'm off to Cambridge now to take some more "where is this" mysteries ;) Title: Re: Not been on a train all week ... so where have I been? There might be ... but I've not been anywhere near S-o-A. Now ?-o-A might be another matter for one of the pictures.
