Title: Replacement Bus Services .... Joining and paying fares
Post by: RailCornwall on April 13, 2010, 15:10:08
I notice that increasingly the answer to failed trains on the Falmouth line is to advise customers to use a Scheduled First Bus Route instead....

14:50 Falmouth Docks to Truro due 15:18

This train has been cancelled. This is due to a broken down train. Customers are able to use First Devon & Cornwall bus number 88 between Truro and Falmouth Docks, in both directions.Last Updated: 13/04/2010 14:44

.... rather than providing specific rail replacement buses. If I was to get on the bus at an unmanned station could I demand to pay the rail fare, or would the much higher bus fare be charged as a matter of course. Seems an anomaly which would be interesting to sort out.
