Title: BTP release CCTV image after member of staff threatened - Somerset (20/02/2010) Post by: Chris from Nailsea on March 15, 2010, 20:19:33 From the BTP press release (http://www.btp.presscentre.com/Media-Releases/BRITISH-TRANSPORT-POLICE-RELEASE-CCTV-AFTER-MEMBER-OF-RAIL-STAFF-THREATENED-SOMERSET-df2.aspx):
Quote British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident on board a train between Yeovil Junction and Frome railway stations. Officers have today released a CCTV image of the man they believe can help with their enquiries into the incident which took place at about 2.40pm on Saturday 20 February. A dispute over a locked toilet door took place between the train guard and a male passenger on board the train between Yeovil Junction and Frome rail stations. The passenger used threatening language towards the guard and also threatened to steal his ticket machine and cash. Although no violence was used and no robbery took place, the guard feared for his safety and was left shaken by the incident. The passenger, who was travelling with another man, left the train at Frome railway station. Officers from Avon and Somerset Police and BTP attended the station but the man had made off by the time police arrived. The man in the CCTV image who police would like to speak to is described as white, aged about 30, about 5ft 8in with a skinhead-style haircut and wearing a combat jacket. Anyone who knows the identity of the man, or his whereabouts, is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, quoting incident number 310 of 20/02/2010. Yeovil Junction?? Do they mean Pen Mill, or were some exotic diversions going on that day?
