Title: Fire at Falmouth Town
Post by: marky7890 on March 04, 2010, 13:36:32
Hi,
Apparently services on the Falmouth branch are being disrupted because of a fire at Falmouth Town station. Does anyone know how this started, or how big it is?

Mark

Fire under the platform, nothing serious and no damage caused from what I have heard.

I have been away for ages and am now catching up.  I was on the train when the 'fire' was discovered.  I later heard the driver tell the guard that it was caused by a tramp's sleeping bag being set alight.  Word has it that a local vagrant was sleeping under the Falmouth Town platform, (which does not have a solid base).  When he left his 'home,'person or persons unknown torched his bed.
