Title: Taking a break during journey
Post by: Jez on February 20, 2010, 10:35:16
Hi,

I have a question about breaks during a journey.

If I was to buy a ticket, for example, from Leeds to Blackpool (a standard or cheap day return) but decided to get off and spend a few hours in Manchester and then continue my journey later that day would that be permitted?

Technically Manchester Picadilly could be a station where id want or need to change trains anyway if I wasnt on a through train from Leeds to Blackpool.

So would this be permitted if it was a day return bought on the day and no restrictions to specific trains?

Many Thanks

yes, in either direction.
