Until December 2006, TransWilts services except the last one of the day carried on to Southampton, serving Dean and Dunbridge. Since December 2007, FGW have operated (but not served) those stations ... interesting to see that they have been doing so today, and that the Portsmouth / Cardiff service that was 2 minutes late at Fareham was still just tow minutes late at Newport, in spite of what looks like a holdup at Dean (in reallity, signalling problems in that area).

It also happened on the 07:26 from Bath Spa to Portsmouth Harbour today. All seemed to be fine, and it's nice to see the extra station stops didn't cause much of a delay by the end of the journey.

This has happened on several occasions since December 2006, and there is enough recovery time in the schedule to allow this if necessary.
