Title: What is wrong with this update........ Post by: Mookiemoo on November 12, 2009, 22:11:06 20:59 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington due 23:37
This train has been revised. This is due to an earlier train fault. No buffet service. A trolley service is available in Standard Class. Last Updated: 12/11/2009 20:17 No prizes on offer but....... The trolley should be in Carriage A, but we don't advertise that because sometimes it actually uses its wheels and goes up and down the Standard Class coaches!

The trolley should be in Carriage A, but we don't advertise that because sometimes it actually uses its wheels and goes up and down the Standard Class coaches! Wrong.....the train never reaches foregate street - it terminates at shrub from the 1751 PAD to WOS service, pulls into the sidings by the platform and then forms the 20:59 back - starting from shrub. I know - I once got back as far as evesham, got a call saying - can yo be here for 7am tomorrow we have a major problem - so got of at WOS and got back on again after the 1822 Hereford went through. Those were the Adelante days and I didnt have a new Mac so my laptop battery suffered on the way back..... Title: Re: What is wrong with this update........ Post by: Ollie on November 13, 2009, 02:05:13 Sorry but it DID start at Worcester Foregate Street, in fact it left 7 minutes late.

When did they change it? ??? Title: Re: What is wrong with this update........ Post by: willc on November 13, 2009, 09:19:50 At least since last December.

Post by: super tm on November 13, 2009, 14:58:04 Yes terminates st Shrub Hill then shunts out of the way before going to Foregate Street and starting back to London from there. AIUI it cant go to forgate street as there is nowhere to put it before returning.
Title: Re: What is wrong with this update........ Post by: IndustryInsider on November 13, 2009, 15:21:56 At least since last December. Since well before that I think. Nearly always leaves Foregate about 5 minutes late before trundling towards Evesham recovering the time. Title: Re: What is wrong with this update........ Hmph The times I have used it since then (4-5 to my recogning) I must have just been unlucky and it started short at Shrub Hill hence my assumption it still started there. AIUI it cant go to forgate street as there is nowhere to put it before returning. It could go to Henwick - but then the turnround time would be very - probably too - tight for an HST and if the 18.22 to Hereford was late, then the stock from the 17.50 would be stuck at Henwick waiting for the 18.22 to clear the single line from Shrub Hill, so this odd arrangement is what results. Maybe a post-Cotswold redoubling timetable will be able to assist matters but with the layout at Worcester playing a part in all this, who knows?
