Title: Too good to be true?
Post by: DevonTrains2008 on November 06, 2009, 20:17:04
Searching 'Feniton to Oxford' child return fares on the FGW website for tommorow produces a rather puzzling result.  It states that a Feniton to Oxford off peak child return costs ^20.60 and the trains (or buses) that it shows to use are SWT Rail Replacement (The journey search was for tommorow) FGW HST Exeter - Reading and Crosscountry Reading - Bournemouth.  The same journey, but beginning from Exeter costs around ^36!  Is this true - if it is I may make a trip to Oxford, or is it a problem with the FGW booking system!?  Have checked Feniton - Oxford, splitting tickets at Bristol TM and this only saves around ^1 off the price, coming out at around ^19!  Please, have a look for yourselves and put me out of my misery!

I look forward to your replies

Many thanks in advance
