Yesterday it made up 10 but I left my bike behind as the 9 minute OFFICIAL connection at Reading was very doubtful (indeed I missed it). Today, I thought well if it made up 10 yesterday and is only 13 late.........took bike....WRONG - arrived at reading 13 late! Missed connection. This is beginning to feel like the bad old days when I could not rely on a train to get me to work on time! (and if anyone knows what the college somewhere south of wokingham is that the hoards get on the 0804 to redhill for, I'd like to know. Bunch of unruly, antisocial barstewards who treat the train as their own personal transport and kicked the crap out of my bike (folded) because they had to make an effort to get past it. "This is never on time" Apparently not enough time to get from Hereford to Malvern is allowed. However, i'm going to start a Reginald Perrin series of excuses - this morning "poor overhead conditions at Rugby" took the biscuit.. Apparently he was saying poor track conditions between hereford and ledbury but that was NOT what came over the tannoy. This is after gettin an extra hours kip in the car when I discovered the demise of my intended chariot .
