Title: Menheniot Signal Box

Hi
I went on a train to Plymouth today, and i'm sure i didn't see the disused signal box when we passed Menheniot, did i just miss it, or has it been demolished?

St Austell for one, Bodmin Parkway is in use as a cafe if that counts

Signal boxes still being used are: Penzance, St Erth, Roskear, Truro, Par, St Blazey, Goonbarrow, Lostwithiel and Liskeard.

St.Germans box was situated inside the station building on the westbound platform. The building is still there but the box shut a few years ago

8 on the main line from Pz to Plymouth as compared to 8 on the main line before Camborne 50 years ago!

I only count 7 on the main line in Cornwall (MLN) Liskeard, Lostwithiel, Par, Truro, Roskear Junction, St Erth and Penzance.

St Blazey and Goonbarrow are both on the Newquay branchline.

Menheniot Box was demolished over the last weekend of October 2007.
