The application was the final piece in the puzzle of the government funded ^50 million-plus Bath Transportation Package, which also includes development of a new park and ride site at Bathampton Meadows and extension of existing park and ride sites at Odd Down and Lansdown. A council report into last night^s application said officials at the Department for Transport regarded the BRT as ^integral^ to the Bath Transportation Package as a whole and they would not be willing to continue to fund the package without the BRT.
