The main line to Oslo diverges to the right and goes straight into tunnels and through glacial scenery up to the bleak station at Finse. I've been there a few times over the years - the Oslo to Bergen line really is a magnificent treat and I'd have to say, beats anything I've seen in central Europe!
The line down to Fl^m hits some pretty impressive gradients on its decent into the Fl^m Valley and the train pauses for a photo stop by a waterfall that cascades off of the large mountain in the photo's background. When I was last there, in March 2004, the waterfall had totally frozen which made for an interesting spectacle. Title: Re: An easy one .....
