Title: Fare's not Fair for Cotswolds! Post by: Btline on July 28, 2009, 18:05:43 Why can I get an Standard Advance return (with Railcard) for ^5.30 from Oxford to London, when no such fare is availiable from, say, Worcester.
The fare seems to be availible on most off peak trains. It is well known that Off-Peak HSTs are often carrying air around after Oxford, so surely a way of getting bums on seats to Worcestershire is to offer Advances. Say ^10 return to Worcestershire stations and ^15 for those beyond? And a cheaper equivalent for those getting off at Oxford. Title: Re: Fare's not Fair for Cotswolds! Voila.... London to Worcester and back for just over a tenner each way. Bargain. Even less if you only need a CDR between OXF-WOS (^9.55 with railcard)
