Title: Safety Notice on HSTs
Post by: Btline on June 28, 2009, 20:45:40
Having read this time and time again in the past, I looked at one for the first time in a while the other day.

It was different - without the pre-refurb plan. I assume they'd reprinted.

But I also noticed it has the disabled coach as E, when I thought it was to be C.

Does this mean FGW are going to have to re-print again?

Safety cards on HST's were changed when the laminate was put over the windows which was before the disabled carriage was swapped over from E to C.

Is the laminate the reason why all (or nearly all) the window hammers in the HSS fleet have now been blanked off and the "breakable window" stickers removed?

correct,same on all dmu's except 142/3.

in time all fgw units with the exception of pacers will have hammers removed as the 2 remaining breakable windows per coach are getting removed and replaced with laminate.
