Title: Ranger and Rover tickets - any better listings around?
Post by: grahame on June 11, 2009, 07:55:42
I'm looking up a number of ranger and rover tickets ... considering whether to / which to try for a few days this summer.  I've found a site listing them at

http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/promotions/rangers_and_rovers.html

but the indexing is poor - it looks to me as if you need to know the proper title of each ticket, then look it up under the first letter of that title - for example:

Severn and Solent - 3 days out of 7 - look under "F"
Falmouth to Truro - travel as much as you like in a day - look under "M"

Can anyone point me to an overall map of rover / ranger / freedom tickets, and / or some form of geographic list or search facility ("all rovers that include Trowbridge" for example)?

Thanks

That page in particular should help you, showing all Rovers in the FGW area.

I agree Graham, it' hard to search by area.

I was looking for a rover to take in the South Coast, but I could not find one in the NR indexing. :'(

Grahame,

Barry Doe, writing in Rail 616 (Apr 22), wrote his annual round up of Rover and Ranger tickets.
