Title: What a plonker...
Post by: inspector_blakey on June 07, 2009, 23:11:19
Words almost fail me. Especially seeing as I'm moving country to the US in a few weeks' time...

I'm sure my first reaction if encountered with what I thought might be a life-threatening situation would not be to whip out my digital camera (which I probably wouldn't be carrying anyway...) and showcase my vacuousness in all its glory. Am I just a traditionalist old stick-in-the-mud?

And I'm also sure with a bit of initiative he could have found an air-brake cock to yank open or something. Some people have no presence of mind...  ::) ;) :P

... and at no stage do any of the train staff seem to have asked to see his ticket for that journey ...  ::)

On the other hand,
Quote
Mr Vance said he had not told his parents about the train escapade "because I don't won't them to worry about me while I'm away."
Providing details of his 'escapade' to the BBC, so it could be broadcast to everyone across the world, doesn't seem to have worried him, however?
