Transport Secretary Geoff Hoon has become the third cabinet minister to walk out of government in the past day.

His departure follows John Hutton who quit as defence secretary and James Purnell who resigned as work and pensions secretary on Thursday.

Great a railway friendly Secretary of State but he is also a realist good news all the same

With a bit of luck, the year will allow the Labour Party to re-group, enough to tackle the issues from Autumn, and with a bit of luck, win the next election.

Let's face it, that "reshuffle" is a low point, It can't get much worse....
