Title: Derailment at Windsor and Eton Riverside
Post by: eightf48544 on May 26, 2009, 23:45:47
On Friday (22/5) the last coach of 450 set took the wrong road at the facing run round points in Windsor and Eton Riverside and derailed.

Branch blocked all day whilst coach separated (lots of jumpers).

Not sure when service restored.

Big question is why?  Very slow speed, points motorised so built in FPL and detection.

Potters Bar, Lambrigg now Windsor. Something wrong with facing points?

This was the first train of the day, after a possession over night. From what I was told yesterday, that had something to do with it. Looks like the points where at fault.
