Title: chris from ??? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 17, 2009, 23:00:33 Chris had 'a grand day out' today - so where did he go?
(http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6005/chrisfromnailsea.jpg) It's probably blindingly obvious, but please bear with me - I'm a confirmed technophobe, struggling with a new digital camera and working out how to put pictures on this forum! :-[ ::) Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: rogerw on April 17, 2009, 23:16:27 Just to spin it out a bit. I hope you took your passport!
Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 17, 2009, 23:19:40 Thanks, rogerw! ;)
Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: devon_metro on April 17, 2009, 23:24:12 I'm guessing you didn't get there on that train, unless of course you foolishly changed :D
Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 17, 2009, 23:32:07 Hmm. I got there on a remarkably similar train, even if not that particular one! ;)
Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: devon_metro on April 17, 2009, 23:48:35 Hmm. I got there on a remarkably similar train, even if not that particular one! ;) I'm rather surprised you didn't arrive in the capable hands of the FGW loco hauled set. That is of course if it goes to wherever that picture might be...! Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 18, 2009, 00:00:44 That's a good point, devon_metro - but I tend to just catch the next train from Nailsea to wherever I'm going, without being too concerned about it having to be LHS, for example! ;)
(Sorry if that upsets the purists, by the way!) :-[ Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: thetrout on April 18, 2009, 01:06:23 Did Mr Chris go to Cardiff??
Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on April 18, 2009, 01:12:55 Yes, it's my return train, being prepared at Cardiff Central! ;)
Having learnt the ropes on posting here, though, I'm inclined to pose some rather more challenging picture quiz questions soon ... you have been warned! ;) :D ;D Title: Re: chris from ??? I look forward to the more challenging ones (even I sorta-guessed Cardiff) ... it'll make a change from my "guess where this is" series where the answer is so often "Melksham" ;) Title: Re: chris from ??? Post by: inspector_blakey on April 18, 2009, 11:24:54 Aaah yes, Cardiff.
I seem to have some unfortunate effect on the working of the CDF - PMH trains. Whenever I'm sitting on platform 4 waiting for a train west the Porstmouth workings will be running like clockwork. But on the one occasion in the last year when I caught one is was a 2-car 150 vice 3-car 158 and didn't pull up to collect passengers until 30s after it should have left! I tend to stay away from the Portsmouth service these days to avoid breaking it again...
