Title: More "Wezis"?
Post by: grahame on March 11, 2009, 12:52:41
OK ... a chance to share a few more pictures by asking if you can work out where they are.  And those people who know me will probably find some of them very easy indeed!

You have correctly identified Chippenham and Bristol Temple Meads.  No. 4 is not Bristol Parkway (but perhaps they have an identical sign or similar geography there!)

might No 4 be another Parkway station - Didcot or Tiveton?

Yep ... let me go through those that you have

1. Taunton
2. Melksham (hey, it's my local station - I would post a lot about Gunnislake if I lived there!)
3. Chippenham
4. Not yet identified, and not a station with "Parkway" in its name either
5. Temple Meads
6. Avoncliff (and not Dundas!)
7. Westbury
8. Kemble

Nope .... sorry.   Have I chosen to post up a picture of a generic sign, perhaps?

Could the un-identified be Taunton, as I understand Graham, you were there recently, and of course, the station has recently been "done up" so to speak.

Might be worth a punt, but what is a Punt worth these days?

Nothing.  It's obsolete

Obsolete it may be, but worthless not...

I fell in and nearly found hypothermia and Weils disease. Note to self: let go of pole when it gets stuck, let go of pole when it gets stuck, let go of pole when it gets stuck...

I sympathise entirely, thetrout: even when I'm standing next to grahame, while he takes some of those pictures, it doesn't necessarily help - see http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=3663.msg28403#msg28403
