Recent General Alerts (as reported at First Great Western):

Train services are being disrupted due to flooding between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford.  Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected. Last Updated: 09/02/2009 20:43

Train services are being disrupted due to flooding between Westbury and Pewsey.  Delays of up to 90 minutes can be expected. Trains from Pewsey to Westbury will run at a reduced speed of 5 mph due to water level in that area.  Last Updated: 09/02/2009 20:10

Train services are being disrupted due to flooding between Castle Cary and Taunton.  Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 120 minutes can be expected. The line has been closed between Taunton and Castle Cary and trains will be diverted via an alternative route. Last Updated: 09/02/2009 20:42

Train services are being disrupted due to flooding at Swindon.  Short notice alterations and delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected. Last Updated: 09/02/2009 20:27

And snow too up here in the Cotswolds. The Cotswold Line is still running, but the A44 is already shut at Fish Hill, above Broadway.

It's snowing here in Nailsea, too - and we're down at only a bit above sea level!  It looks less than promising for travel tomorrow!

It's snowing heavily in Taunton as well...
