Title: Lineside fire between Exeter & Taunton causing delays (8 Feb 2009) Post by: Chris from Nailsea on February 08, 2009, 12:13:58 From the FGW site:
Quote Train services have been disrupted due to emergency services dealing with a prior incident between Exeter St Davids and Taunton. Short notice alterations and delays of up to 60 minutes may still occur. However, on this particular occasion, it was actually described as 'a lineside fire' by FGW in a 'live update' on the termination of the 09:35 Exeter St Davids to Bristol Temple Meads, at Tiverton Parkway. As that service would have been due to arrive at BTM at 11:20 this morning anyway, I didn't bother to also quote that update, when I started this topic at 12:13! ;) Elementary, my dear Watson! ;D Title: Re: Lineside fire between Exeter & Taunton causing delays (8 Feb 2009) Post by: Phil on February 08, 2009, 15:45:01 Chris knows things ... ;) :D ;D Please, Mr. Chris, who is going to win the 3:30 race at Wincanton tomorrow? ;D Title: Re: Lineside fire between Exeter & Taunton causing delays (8 Feb 2009) Post by: 6 OF 2 redundant adjunct of unimatrix 01 on February 08, 2009, 16:21:33 chris knows a hell of alot! kinda scary ;D

Title: Re: Lineside fire between Exeter & Taunton causing delays (8 Feb 2009) Post by: Chris from Nailsea on February 08, 2009, 17:46:28 Well, to be fair, Liam, if FGW use the description, 'a lineside fire' in just one of their updates, that covers a multitude of possibilities! ;)
I just 'quoted' what they told me! ;D Title: Re: Lineside fire between Exeter & Taunton causing delays (8 Feb 2009) Post by: 6 OF 2 redundant adjunct of unimatrix 01 on February 08, 2009, 18:53:54 for example this would not be described as lineside fire:
