Title: Cardiff Bay Sunday service
Post by: John R on November 20, 2008, 21:26:10
The new timetable improves this branch even further, by significantly extending the Sunday opening hours to give a 10 hour service. Also, for some curious reason, the service on Sundays is now stepped up from 4 to 5 tph, which must be a very tedious service to drive all day.

For a branch which had half a dozen services a day as recently as the 1980s, it is a remarkable revival. One wonders how many other branch lines which didn't survive Beeching, would now be thriving.

Sorry, not FGW, but it does cross over the main line!
