Title: STEAM WORKING AT ACTON MAINLINE ON WEDNESDAY 15th OCTOBER? Post by: stebbo on October 17, 2008, 22:05:36 Passing through Acton Mainline on the 0727 ex Cheltenham on Wednesday and looked like steam working coming off North London line. Anybody know what was it, if was steam? Got glances/comments from passengers; I was on wrong side of train to see properly, but certainly vintage carriages (some Southern green).

Maybe FGW should have a word - though you would be doing well to notice the tiny lettering used on the destination labels of the named trains recently and the current timetable doesn't even give the name to the 6.43 from Hereford, only the 18.21 from Paddington. Maybe we shouldn't protest too much when the London-Newquay through train is called the Atlantic Coast Express! Title: Re: STEAM WORKING AT ACTON MAINLINE ON WEDNESDAY 15th OCTOBER?
