Title: Booked online and got the same journey twice Post by: plymothian on October 16, 2008, 18:34:23 I booked a journey between Plymouth and St Ives on Tuesday for travel on Wednesday using the ^5 discount offer. Usually I use fgwtickets to book my journey but the discount insists you use a separate site that deducts the ^5. Anyway the majority of this site was unviewable as none of the graphics were loading but I managed to get through the process as it was the same as fgwtickets. I thought I booked 4 single tickets (2 plym-st ives and 2 st ives to plym) however when i collected my tickets from the Fast Ticket machine I was given 8 single journeys. What do I do with the 4 unused tickets? Normally a refund costs ^10 admin so if I tried that I'd end up owing FGW ^4!
I entered 2 adults and later on it asks if any were railcards, both were, but still this should not equal 4 passengers. I am very confused. So I've ended up paying for 4 people to travel when I only wanted 2. But what's more strange is that the fares, though the same (excluding the ^5) when added together do not equal the amount charged to me. Good bargain - Trowbridge to Cardiff ^2.00 return
