With these tragic incidents happening all over the rail network, I'm amazed at stories such as this: Quote An artwork depicting a person falling to their death in front of a train will not be displayed at London's St Pancras Station. The image, commissioned by London & Continental Railways (LCR), was to be part of a bronze frieze by Paul Day. One of two scenes of a platform reflected in a pair of sunglasses showed a man in front of a train driven by a skeletal Grim Reaper figure. Train drivers and families of suicide victims condemned the piece. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7666093.stm for the full story. :o Title: Re: Fatality In The Ealing Area (12/10/2008) Post by: Phil on October 12, 2008, 20:03:23 Apparently, the pieces that were rejected also included a couple copulating. Nice.

It always saddens me to hear about these things, there had been some progress made on this by introducing security guards at Southall station, however this just seems to have driven it to other locations. My thoughts are with the driver and instructor and I sincerely hope they are both able to recover from this and continue in there chosen career.
