Title: Stops Missed Due To Unusually Large Passenger Flow (10/10/2008)
Post by: Lee on October 10, 2008, 17:19:35
From the FGW website :

15:00 Cardiff Central to Taunton due 17:00

This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Bedminster, Parson Street, Nailsea & Backwell, Yatton, Worle and Weston Milton. This is due to an unusually large passenger flow.

They are told, "Well, you should have got off at BTM and caught another (bigger?) train that will stop at those stations!"  ???

Hardly. It was about 20 minutes late so only a few minutes wait for the Bristol Parkway - Weston service

I think you've hit the nail on the head this was a way getting some time back: heavy passenger flow was the excuse.

Does anyone know if there was large party from BTM to Highbridge Bridgewater or Tauton?
