Post by: Lee on October 09, 2008, 07:52:15
From the FGW website :

Train services between Bristol Parkway and Newport South Wales are being disrupted due to a broken down train in the Severn Tunnel area.Short notice alterations and delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.

Interesting revision from the FGW website, presumably related to the Severn Tunnel area problems :

10:22 Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central due 13:45

This train will be diverted to Fareham. It will no longer call at: Southampton Central, Romsey, Salisbury, Warminster, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford-On-Avon, Bath Spa, Bristol Temple Meads, Filton Abbey Wood, Newport South Wales and Cardiff Central. This is due to an earlier train fault.

Slightly unrelated but the 10:10 Great Malvern service from Oldfield Park was cancelled today. According to the FGW website the Portsmouth - Cardiff service called additionally there  to make up for the cancellation, but my brother was waiting at the station and he said it went by without stopping.
