Title: FGW for ^10 - last chance Post by: TheLastMinute on September 27, 2008, 00:28:44 A (somewhat late) reminder for all us season ticket holders - it's last weekend of FGW's Take a Friend offer (aka FGW for ^10) which finishes on Sunday 28th Sept. Title: Re: FGW for ^10 - last chance Post by: John R on September 29, 2008, 21:09:45 And I had a lovely day, spoilt only on the return trip by two separate groups of 5 teenagers who thought it was OK to sit in 1st class without appropriate tickets. The first lot bought a load of drink on a credit card that gave the steward enough concern afterwards to call BTP (after they had done a bunk and jumped out at Bodmin Parkway when challenged). The other lot ran up and down the quiet carriage, until I told them to get back to Standard Class or I'd get the TM (which amazingly they did, albeit with a bit of abuse.)
I don't envy the TM's on that route. Though I was disappointed with the uniformed but off duty staff member sitting in 1st who chose to completely ignore the first group, and their inappropriate behaviour.
