Title: Service Gap For Taunton-Weston-Bristol Corridor Passengers (26/09/2008)
Post by: Lee on September 26, 2008, 07:34:32
Two in a row gone, according to the FGW website :

06:00 Exeter St Davids to Bristol Parkway due 08:03

This train has been cancelled. This is due to a train fault.

05:22 Plymouth to London Paddington due 09:45

This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Bridgwater, Highbridge & Burnham, Weston-Super-Mare, Worle, Yatton, Nailsea & Backwell, Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa, Chippenham, Swindon and Didcot Parkway. This is due to a train fault.

Not terribly impressive. The Plymouth London service will run direct from Taunton to Reading, yet if it ran non-stop to Temple Meads would only be around 15 minutes late, and thus avoid an hour gap in the service from TM to London (and avoid the 0830 from TM being horribly overcrowded.). Could overtake the 0830 by avoiding WSM.
