12:06 London Paddington to Penzance due 17:08 This train has been revised.It will no longer call at: Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway and Par.This train will run short formed with 2 carriages between Plymouth and Penzance.This is due to a train fault. Title: Re: Unusual 1206 London-Penzance Today (23/09/2008) Post by: vacman on September 24, 2008, 21:10:47 HST hit a bird and broke windscreen, a 150 was mustered from somewhere to continue to Penzance (40 late) and went fast to St Austell, the passengers for other stations were put on the 1555 Ply-Pnz which only departed 10 mins later, at Penzance the 150 was strengthened with the spare 153 and went up as the 1737 Pnz-Pad as far as Plymouth where an HST continued the journey.

I must say, that response by FGW to such an 'incident', in terms of maintaining services as far as possible for passengers, is much more efficient than in the old days!
