From the FGW website :

Train services between Guildford and Redhill are being disrupted due to a line-side fire in the Dorking West area.Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes can be expected. Train services are operating between Reading and Shalford in both directions. Replacement road transport is in operation between Guildford and Redhill in both directions. London Underground are accepting First Great Western ticket holders between London Paddington and London Victoria. Southern are accepting First Great Western ticket holders between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport. South West Trains are accepting First Great Western ticket holders between Guildford and Clapham Junction for customers to connect with Southern services to Gatwick Airport.

I think that, not for the first time, the disruption was caused by the car scrapyard by Dorking West station. There were a number of burnt out cars in there this morning.
