I'm tempted to say that the WAG wouldn't be investing this sort of money if the intention isn't there to introduce a direct service, but then I recall the new passing loop on the Merthyrline which is sitting unused. Nevertheless, with the National Eisteddfod coming to Ebbw Vale in 2010 maybe there's hope for quick progress for the scheme.
