I have updated the short term change diagrams at the top of the page so that they now show counts for the number of trains cancelled (red), skipping stations (green) or not running their full routes (blue).   Services show in orange (shortest trains than they should be), yellow (catering changes) and grey (some other change - e.g. extra stops) are not counted as the diagram would get too cluttered (I did some experiments!).

The trains are shown as a straight line from their start to end point - not ideal, but it gives a quick graphic flavour of if and where there are issues, and if you click on the map you're taken to another page where it's enlarged, and the services concerned are all listed.

Graham, I'm confused! Right now the diagram still seems to be showing yellow and orange, and yet these are two you say you've removed?

Isn't it just the legend at the top of the map that's restricted to just the red, blue and green counts?  Other, less significant, alterations are still shown on the map, they're just not also shown as a total.

Yes, I did provide a confusing post there, didn't I?

The main diagram is as it has been - showing all six colours.  I have provided counts for just the three most significant - trains that are only serving a part of their route or none of it at all.

My comment about removing catering changes was from the text counts. That was something I tried briefly as an experiment and some members may have spotted, but it lead to the text starting to overrun Worcester and Malvern  ;)

Ah, right. I see now. Cheers for the clarification, gents!

A couple of extra notes:

a) Some of the pages behind these links are still being developed / refined - so you'll see more being added and further incremental changes in the future.

b) In order to access some of the data (and especially some of the forthcoming search tools), you'll need to be logged in to the forum.  If you're not already a signed-up member, registration is free - all we ask is that you abide by the letter and spirit of the forum agreement, which is basically to keep this a friendly and more or less on-topic place!
