Title: Cornish Crowds ?
Post by: Sleepy on August 22, 2008, 19:05:35
How does the next 7 days compare to May half term for crowded trains (both local services and to/from London) ?

Hello, sleepy, and welcome to the Coffee Shop forum!

I don't have any answer for this question, as it's rather outside my area - but we do have several members down in Cornwall, who I am sure will be delighted to help!

I imagine it will be busy once the euphoria of Bank Holiday ( ::)) ends

The bank holiday train services to and from here are always extremely busy, HST  and unit formations. If I could choose, theres no way I would make a long journey, especially for unguaranteed weather! :(

The trains have been the same all through the summer though, probably due to more people holidaying here and the price of petrol!

These seven days are busier than May half term generally in my experience, for all services especially the local services with tourists traveling around.
