Title: Reading Festival
Post by: johoare on August 17, 2008, 00:16:52
I'm off to the Reading Festival just for the day next Saturday.. It looks as if FGW aren't laying on any extra trains afterwards.. Is that correct?  It looks as if the last train back leaves Reading at 00.04am.. Which should (maybe) be fine... But not if the train gets so full no one else can get on?  I wonder if anyone knows what has happened on previous years? I can find plenty of info on what happens on the Monday, queuing to get into the station etc, but nothing for day ticket holders and the last train home, particularly on Saturday when the last train is quite early..

How did go? Was the 00.004 packed to the gunnels?

I was in Reading last Saturday (park and ride shame!!), there were queuesfor teh gents! in John Lewis (Heelas) and security guards on every entrance to the Oracle.

Excent pint of mild in the Hobgoblin.

hhmm... well I was the victim of a very genuine looking ticket tout website... So I ended up with no tickets!! So I'll never know how full that last East bound train out of Reading was.. hopefully though I'll get my money back...
