Title: Call for Passenger Service to Heathfield
Post by: Andy on August 06, 2008, 12:53:58
The link below is to a letter advocating the reinstatement of passenger services to Heathfield, as an extension of local N.A.-Paignton services in a bid to accommodate anticipated road congestion caused by development of the area.

http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/news/let-train-strain-road/article-253561-detail/article.html

I'd just like to make it quite clear that in posting the link, I am not in any way promoting the political views of the writer - on the contrary, I dissociate myself totally from them.

The site of Heathfield station is right on the A38 so would make an ideal Park and Ride for Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton!!

But yeah, its never gonna happen!!

Heathfield - For Trago Mills

?????  :D

Rather a long walk to/from Trago Mills if you have bought a full trolley load I would have thought, unless they are going to re-route their narrow guage line to run to Heathfield... :o

Isn't there already some kind of bus service to Trago from Newton Abbot?
