Title: Severn Tunnel Jn problems (18/7/08) Post by: tramway on July 18, 2008, 11:41:59 From FGW website
18 July 2008 Train services between Newport South Wales and Bristol Temple Meads via Severn Tunnel Jn are being disrupted due to signalling problems in the Severn Tunnel Jn area.Engineers are working as fast as possible to restore services to normal. Short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes can be expected. Regret only a limited number of trains are able to transit Severn Tunnel Jn. Network Rail are working as fast as possible to rectify the problem. No indication if this is still extant at 11.40, but trains were being terminated at Parkway earlier I believe.
