Title: St Austell Station Car Park
Post by: Chris2 on July 15, 2008, 09:16:44
While the redevelopment of St. Austell Station is taking place, the car parking on the up side has been reduced considerably in number, while the car park on the down side has been closed.

Does anyone know if FGW are providing alternative car parking while the redevelopment is taking place?

Theres are no alternatives either. Staff are advising park at Polkyth.

Evening

Well I passed St. Austell on Wednesday and was taken
back a bit that the downside area where the old bus
depot used to be as largely complete.  Did someone
tell them to get a move on?  There was still a lot
of hacking however behind the up platform, but I
think really if they got on with this new disabled
lift/bridge and restored the up building (which is
being funded by "The Railway Heritage Committee"),
it might look substancailly better than without the
odd boarding it presently has; but it is coming
along!

Regards

Karl.
