Title: Check ahead to see if your trains is cancelled - official Post by: grahame on March 11, 2025, 06:44:14 From Rail Advent (https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2025/03/train-travel-tips-for-passengers-heading-to-cheltenham-festival.html) in relation to travel to the Cheltenham Festival
Quote Because of the larger volumes of passengers passing through Birmingham New Street over these 4 days, Network Rail is reminding passengers to make sure they plan ahead before they travel, make sure their trains and any connecting services are running and have reserve plans if delays occur or a train is cancelled, and make sure to allow plenty of time to catch train services. Sensible advice, but aren't we in a sad situation where passengers are told to check ahead to see if what's supposed to be running actually IS running!
