Title: Parliamentary Constituency Statistics Post by: grahame on February 25, 2025, 12:54:13 To help comment to / inform our MP ...
There are FOUR passenger railways running thought his constituency One has two stations on it One has one station on it One has no stations on it but there is an active campaign for one One has no stations on it and there unlikely to be any added Freight runs through on the various lines but there are no freight depots I don't think there's a single point or crossover either All schedule passenger trains are run by GWR these days Do any members know of any other constituency in the South West with as many sections of disconnected railway? North Somerset has one (realistic) disconnected railway - Bristol to Portishead, via Ashton Gate and Pill. Our own new MP here, Sadik Al-Hassan (Labour) (who I have met ;) ) is a strong supporter of that particular reopening. (I've excluded Clevedon and Cheddar onwards from Yatton from the statistics, as they are both really not realistic. ;D ) CfN.
