Title: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: grahame on December 04, 2024, 08:18:06 QUFTW
VQINT NIKMA DSTRS BLFBH Hidden in the puzzle above are 20 three letter codes. Start anywhere and read horizontal, vertical or diagonal, forwards or sdrawkcab. How many can you spot, and how many of them have you visited? With the help of Cato and Rasmus, I can identify the 20, I have visited 7 to get on or off a train, and I have passed through the majority - just one I am in doubt about. Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: Red Squirrel on December 04, 2024, 09:09:02 I have laid this out in a table to make the rows and columns clearer - hope this helps!
Edit: I have bolded where a code has been identified... Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: grahame on December 04, 2024, 09:25:18 I have laid this out in a table to make the rows and columns clearer - hope this helps!
It doth, thank you! Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: Red Squirrel on December 04, 2024, 10:00:39 Right then, I’ll set the ball rolling by mixing my metaphors and picking some low-hanging fruit:
ASH = Ash, Surrey. I haven’t visited! Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: Richard Fairhurst on December 04, 2024, 10:09:34 FTW: Fort William. (Or "For The Win".) I have visited, but a long time ago.
Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: Oxonhutch on December 04, 2024, 11:05:53 STR: Stranraer - never visited.
There is most definitely no CHO where most of my rail journeys start and finish! Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: brooklea on December 04, 2024, 11:20:06 BSK is Basingstoke; I’ve made many journeys starting from there, and at other times changed trains.
Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: stuving on December 04, 2024, 11:52:58 Ingatestone - INT, row 2. One I've been through quite often (but never, I think, got off at by mistake for Chelmsford).

During my early working life I lived for several years close(ish) to Glasgow but never used this station. Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: TonyN on December 04, 2024, 16:49:42 Lytham LTM
Of the ones identified so far I have been to Fort William, Stranraer and Basingstoke. Only been through the others. Title: Re: AQ04 - Three Letter Code grid Post by: Richard Fairhurst on December 04, 2024, 17:23:28 Ah, I spotted another one.
