Title: "New Topic" x 8000
Post by: grahame on October 26, 2024, 19:20:41
This is the 8000th post thread I have started on the Coffee Shop. That's around one and a quarter new threads every day since foundation. I have been and remain a key public transport observer, more trains than other means, and more in the GWR area that elsewhere.  Many of my posts are purely bringing things to the attention of anyone who passed by or through the website - pointers to other data, but others comment or even criticise ... though always as a critical friend calling for updates or new facilities for the customers - the direct / passenger ones, and those who benefit indirectly through the economic benefit brought to the area.

Thank you for all of them, grahame!  We couldn't run this forum without you.  :)

By the way: I think you meant to type '8,000 topics' rather than '8,000th post'.  Typical typo - we love you for it!  ;D

CfN.  ;)

I have adjusted "post" to "thread" in the original - appreciate the alert.

I retain an excitement in life where there are more things I want to do than time I have to do them, and whilst I have moved to much greater spell checking over recent years especially, there is still a lot that slips through. I can read back and not notice things that shout at others ... so really appreciate your (members and readers) tolerance in reading what I mean, and in correcting (or quietly editing as a moderator) if appropriate. Wonderful for me to be able to trust in that tolerance and moderation - thank you.

Now - on to my next excitement!
