All right so far and I have added the correct answers in to the original post to help others know what's gone and what hasn't.

I can't answer any of the remaining, but:

a) It is an excellent idea for a quiz.

b) Disappointed not to see Platform 2 in Temple Meads not being represented here.

c) I would be pretty certain at least one, if not more, of the heads of the valleys in south Wales is here, especially number 14, but I've never travelled to the ends of any of them yet.

Oops, I see that Graham requested one per day for the first day. Sorry. (Or, given that the quiz was posted last night, was the first day yesterday?)

Mark

14 looks like Barry Island Station.  Might even be somewhere round there this week.

<comment>Graham used to say 'for the first 24 hours'.</comment>  Sorry, I used to work in software requirements specification - now that I've retired I've tried to become more relaxed about the precise wording of things.

My thanks to Graham for another splendid quiz.  It's even one where I knew one of the answers!

4. Bristol Temple Meads.

I am a bit more laid back these days too ... we have a well established membership that is largely self-regulating on this, and the odd extra answer doesn't matter.

Being out and about today,  I've not edited in the correct answers for a few hours - hope to do so in 2 or 3 hours.

Thanks too from me, grahame, but I'm rather struggling with those.

I think 13 is Barnstaple?  :-\

No, sorry, it isn't.    The two we are left with are ones that I would expect to have gone much quicker

b) Disappointed not to see Platform 2 in Temple Meads not being represented here.

Sorry about that - I did consider adding it in, but limited myself to one picture per station and I had a Bristol Temple Meads picture with the SWR Salisbury train on the last day of through services to Waterloo which I selected instead.

10. Southampton Central platform 5.

It's a little shy of 24 hours since the quiz went up but I'm certain of #13 so I'll be bold and bend the rules. :P

It's Severn Beach. The other end of the line to my other answer!

It's Severn Beach.

Dammit!  I should have known that!  :-[

You’re not the only one who thought that might be Severn Beach but didn’t submit an answer  ::)

Oh, and disappointed there isn’t a picture of the platform 1 Taunton. Now Chris, I really would have expected you to get that one if there was  ;D

Thanks, Timmer.  ;)

I really didn't recognize Severn Beach at all, although I should have done, having worked on site there with the Severnside Community Rail Partnership in the past.  :o

Taunton station is a bit of a mystery to me, as many of our readers will know.  ::)

Although I seem to remember that I flummoxed even JayMac with one of my own pictures, taken through the red brick walls there, many years ago.  ;)

I was very surprised that it was Severn Beach that was last to be identified.  You have mentioned some others, folks, and indeed there is a further set of pictures I have ... but tomorrow. I have just spent 2.5 hours in a council meeting - time I will ever get back ... trying to get a gallon out of a quart pot, when we have only bought a pint pot anyway.

I was frankly appalled that I didn't identify Severn Beach.  :o

I share your pain.  My Bristol region cred is now in tatters.   :(

Nice quiz. I must admit the thought crossed my mind of what would be the most efficient route to visit all of them at one time, and what railcard(s) would be the best to use.

Needless to say I couldn't identify a single one!

Funnily enough, Timmer, grahame posted another picture quiz, and I would probably have got 12 there as platform 1 at Taunton.

However, I opted for the easier option of Bristol Temple Meads for 7.  ;D
