Title: Freedom Pass and Station Calls
Post by: Oxonhutch on June 22, 2024, 17:11:04
Had a lovely walk with London based friends past the Women's Henley Regatta races in glorious sunshine. I arrived in Henley by bus and they by train. West Drayton is the last station at which Oyster/Freedom Pass is valid, and as they had the latter I advised them to buy Senior off-peak day returns from West Drayton to Henley and use the Elizabeth Line as their trains stop at West Drayton where the change over of ticket validity occurs.

However, is the Freedom Pass treated as a season/zonal ticket, and therefore could they have used one of the semi-fast GWR services from London to Twyford that doesn't stop at West Drayton?

AFAIK, yes it is.
