Post by: Chris from Nailsea on May 28, 2008, 23:57:39
The region's railways are becoming safer places with violent crime and robberies down significantly, figures released today by British Transport Police (BTP) show.

Annual crime statistics show the number of overall incidents fell on Britain's railways by 11 per cent in 2007-08, while in the West, BTP said just about every category of crime was lower, with violent crime down 15 per cent and robberies reduced by 27 per cent.
