Title: Stapleton Road - do not leave the station? Post by: grahame on January 05, 2024, 18:01:41 From the Daily Star (https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/britains-roughest-street-pimps-wait-31810373)
Quote A road dubbed the "roughest street" in Britain has been revisited two decades after documentary crews initially headed there, and little has improved. Stapleton Road in Easton, Bristol, is still struggling according to a recent trip made to the area. Crime is rife and house prices are plummeting in a place struggling to overcome its drug use and drinking culture. Title: Re: Stapelton Road - do not leave the station? Post by: johnneyw on January 05, 2024, 20:19:56 The article is perhaps a little harsh. I've used Stapleton Road Railway Station on occasion to get to and from the nearby IKEA store but have to admit to being a bit wary and keeping my wits about me when there, especially along some bits of the route. I tend to avoid after dark though....seems sensible.
