Title: Signalling in Christmas - AQ23, 24th December Post by: grahame on December 24, 2023, 07:58:58 A quiet day today as Santa and his reindeers head for the international date line to start their trip around the world, and the rest of us rush out to do our Christmas shopping. Here are the final four pictures to identify and discuss for Advent - I don't expect they'll take long at all to identify.

I would concur with TonyN that it is Middle Box not East! Title: Re: Signalling in Christmas - AQ23, 24th December Post by: PrestburyRoad on December 24, 2023, 09:17:49 2. Coombe Junction. I've travelled above that line on family holidays many years ago en route between London and Newquay but never yet explored the branch.

The through Metropolitan lines are not shown below the diagram. A bit of Xmas trivia: This was Midland Railway's first London terminus, predating St Pancras by three months. Title: Re: Signalling in Christmas - AQ23, 24th December Post by: TonyN on December 24, 2023, 11:34:06 4 is Exeter Middle

Title: Re: Signalling in Christmas - AQ23, 24th December Post by: grahame on December 26, 2023, 06:10:09 1 March North Junction Yes - and I should have come back and confirmed that earlier. Got somewhat involved with a bunch of Thespians from Aylesbury, Montreal, Lanark and Romford, Tiger Prawns, Gin Sorbet, Turkey and Trimmings, Mrs Beeton's pudding, Stollen, shortbread, minced pies, a tangerine and a bottle of red wine - and of course a coffee - last night. The magic and overfeeding lead to sleep and the magic of transport over Christmas conveyed up from Lanzarote in the Canaries on 24th up to Cadiz in mainland Spain as we wake this morning.
